Many congratulations to Stephen Hallam, former Managing Director of Ye Olde Pork Pie Shoppe who has been awarded an MBE in the King’s Birthday Honours List for services to Leicestershire, Lincolnshire and the baking industry.

Over more than 30 years Stephen has been a fantastic ambassador for British pies and, most particularly, Melton Mowbray Pork Pies.

He has been one of the driving forces behind the National Pie Awards that are held in Melton Mowbray each year and a great champion of the town in its quest to be recognised as the Rural Capital of Food. Over the decades Stephen has undertaken hundreds of media appearances and attended countless events to promote the Melton Mowbray Pork Pie. He has also hosted many VIP visits to our Ye Olde Pork Pie Shoppe in Melton Mowbray including one from the now King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Since retiring in 2020, after nearly 30 years in the business, Stephen has continued to be an outstanding supporter of Dickinson & Morris as a Brand Ambassador.
